If you are looking for a lower-fee therapy option, we offer sessions with our clinical intern at a reduced rate.

In today’s fast-paced society, it is common to feel overwhelmed and feel you are being stretched thin. Life, at times, can be hard! Parenting can be hard! It is important to know this is a very valid feeling and you are not alone. I believe everyone needs a little empowerment in various junctures in their life. I strive to create a warm, welcoming, validating environment, free from judgment. I am committed to fostering secure attachments and empowering both children and parents to navigate challenges and build strong foundations for growth and development. I work with my clients to listen to their needs and clearly understand their goals to move forward effectively. I recognize how uncomfortable and vulnerable therapy can be for some and I will meet my clients where they are, working at a pace they are comfortable with.

I believe in a person-centred humanistic approach that focuses on the development of trust, collaboration and respect through a non-judgemental and down-to-earth approach. I aim to support youth (10+), teens and adults of all ages in navigating challenges including trauma, anxiety depression, neurodivergence, grief, burnout, and relationship difficulties, through a trauma-informed lens while drawing from evidence-based therapies, including CBT, DBT, ACT, IFS, and Mindfulness. Jackie is a Registered Social Worker. She has been working in the mental health field with children and families for more than 14 years.

Jackie believes that everyone wants to do well and that everyone is doing the best they can with what they have. She also believes that everyone struggles at times and that we all deserve to have help in working through these challenges.

Jackie uses a strengths-based, attachment model to care. She has been trained in Collaborative Problem Solving, Circle of Security and is currently working to complete her certification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. She believes that you know yourself, your child and your family best and she will support you in reaching your goals for counselling.

Jackie has worked with children presenting with severe mental health challenges and has extensive training in infant and early childhood mental health. She has facilitated educational parent groups and parent support groups in the community. She is a facilitator for the Circle of Security parenting group.
